General:
1. First off, behave in an appropriate manner. This means no fighting, spamming, disrespecting others, stealing, etc. Please don’t join to cause trouble; you will be removed from the site permanently if you continue causing similar problems. If you are having a problem, please just PM a staff member instead of taking it into your own hands. 2. We have a warning level system. If you get a strike, the staff and I will decide on your punishment. Once you hit 100%, you’re gone. Sorry about your luck. 3. Do not use names such as lolguysxx13213. It’s stupid, annoying, and frankly, I’ll just delete your account. Don’t do it. Don’t make your name and your character’s name the same; this results in confusion. Do not use other characters on the site’s names. We will ask you to change it. Also, don’t use the same images as someone else. 4. You need to stay active. If your account hasn't been logged into for a few weeks, and you haven't posted in the absence board, your account may possibly be deleted. However, since crazy things do come up, your account will most likely be safe unless there happens to be an activity check that you fail to post in. 5. Avatars MUST be 140 x 240, no larger and no smaller. Other graphics (such as manipulations, signatures, etc) may be a variety of sizes as long as you don’t stretch the board or take advantage of it. We don’t want to have to scroll forever just to read a post. 6. We are open to suggestions or even helpful advice! If you would like to discuss a change of anything on the site, you may either message a staff member or post it in our suggestion board located here.
Roleplaying:
1. There is a in-character word minimum of 300 words. We are a semi-advanced roleplay, and therefore do not accept anything lower. We don’t expect each post to be your best, but we do wish that you give your full efforts and use your imagination for each reply. 2. We do allow recycled posts, as long as it is your work. We do not tolerate stealing, and will ban anyone without hesitation who may be part of plagiarism 3. This is a stray dog roleplay. We do not accept wolves, African wild dogs, or any other wolf and/or wild dog breed. 4. We do accept coyotes and coyote descendants. We ask that players limit themselves to one mixed coyote breed. You may not breed coyotes unless you have received a special pass from the admin.* There is a limit on coyotes on the site, so we will be monitoring the count. 5. Even though human are in our plot, we do not accept human characters. Your canine characters, however, can be owned by and interact with human of your decision. 6. Characters can be in 5 threads at a time. There is liquid time here. Characters must be active in at least one thread every two week. Yes, you can be in the same thread for multiple weeks, just make sure that the dog is always in at least one thread. 7. Characters age with the seasons. Basically, your puppy cannot be miraculously 6 months old for three years; everything has to grow up and die eventually.
Characters:
1. Your character is not God, so therefore it cannot be created perfect. We also don’t like cut out characters. If your character is cliché, change something about it to make it unique. Who wants 343242 nice and timid dogs on one site? Not us. We also want a balance between female and male. If we need to, we will put bans on breeds, personalities, and gender. Keep a look out for current bans. 2. Dogs must be at least a year and a half old. Puppies can be received as contest prizes. 3. Create your characters using the form. You can edit it if you’d like it to be fancier, but please list those key points so that a mod can see them. Follow the count limit. You’re going to be playing this character. If you don’t have the muse for the biography, what makes you think you can post with this character? 4. This is a realistic role-play so we do not allow unnatural colors or markings. We don’t want characters with two heads or ten feet tall roaming around the street. However, common flaws such as malnutrition, illnesses, etc are realistic and can be used. 3. Use your own characters. Do not steal other peoples’ biographies. We won’t hesitate to ban anyone caught with theft. 4. Once you join you have 5 days to post a character. This character can be a work in progress, it just needs to be done. If not, you will be deleted. Also, characters must be finished within two weeks of posting them. WIP characters are annoying if they've sit around for months. 5. YOU MUST WAIT TO ROLE PLAY UNTIL CHARACTER IS ACCEPTED.
Packs:
1. We currently have three packs with every different requirements and lifestyles. You can learn more about each other the three packs here. 2. Leaders of the packs must accept you into the pack before your character is officially one of them. Just because you put the pack name down on your biography does not mean you are automatically in. Just make sure to going through the necessary hoops to join a pack. 3. Pack leaders are responsible for accepting new members, establishing a ranking system, and maintaining the foundation of the pack. Make sure you follow the guidelines of the pack – obviously Kaur would not have a male leader and Kahepoolse wouldn’t be run by a harmless dog. If a pack leader is caught breaking one of the guidelines in a serve way, the pack can be put up for audition without hesitation. 4. Pack leaders are also expected to remain active. If you suddenly go missing in action without notifying a staff member, don’t be upset when someone else is running your pack. 5. For every five characters you own, one must be a part of one of the packs. This makes sure each pack has a steady amount of members. We don’t want a bunch of loners running. 6. While everyone is permitted to roleplay in any of the boards, don’t complain if your character gets chewed out for trespassing in a pack’s territory.
Fights:
1. Fights may occur for any reason whether it is challenging for leadership, trying to earn a new rank, fighting over land or a mate, or even just having a good scrap for fun. If you would like a winner to be claimed, PM a staff member to judge the battle. Staff members will judge the fight on quality of the posts and the abilities of each character. 2. While some fights may occur for fun without the decision of a staff member, challenges are not one of them. If you would like to challenge for a pack, write a strong post in the headquarters and PM a staff member ALONG with the character’s owner. 3. Whether you are challenger or being challenged, each character has a span of one week to respond. If the thread goes one week without any conclusion or response, the prize automatically goes to the last poster. 4. During the fight, each character has three attacks and one defensive moves. Please make sure that you keep track of what you used in the OCC notes of the post. It is extremely helpful for staff. 5. Every character will walk away with an injury. Although, we do not kill characters when their owners are not in agreement, characters will receive a fair amount of damage depending on the severity of the fight. 6. When challenging for a pack land, we ask the observers to remain out of it. This means that we would only like the leader and challenger in the thread. If a member is trying to defend the leader, we will ask you to delete your post. Although your character may be extremely loyal to the leader, some battles need to be fought alone. 7. Please don’t power play. This means controlling someone else’s character without their consent. So, just leave your attacks open for the other character to make their move.
Breeding:
1. Dogs can only be bred at the age of 2. Any younger that are still considered puppies, and puppies cannot breed to make more puppies. 2. Female x Male is the only breeding that can produce puppies. Pretty obvious, I know. 3. We do allow breeding all year long, but keep in mind that you may only have two litters per IC year. Choose your puppies wisely! 4. A staff member will create puppies for you. Do not create them yourself. Post with your form, and make sure the thread is complete. If the puppies aren’t born with an IC thread before the due date, they will all miscarriage. 5. Keep in mind that puppy stats are random. Some may die, all may die, or none may die. Attributes can’t be chosen by the breeder. You can choose the name and personality, though. 6. No graphic breeding. Do not be surprised if you are banned for R material content, but you may be let off with a warning. It depends of your behavior level.
*Passes can be obtained from contests, polls, etc. You can also receive other passes, such as choosing litter attributes, created a puppy, etc.
These rules are always changing. Make sure to check in every once in a while! Last updated 1/20/12
